As expected, the leader of the Boko Haram insurgents, Abubakar Shekau has released a statement through an audio recording that his group was responsible for the attack and kidnapping of school boys in Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, in Katsina State.
Prior to this, on Friday, armed group of men invaded the school and marched away over 300 boys into the forest.
Attacks are no longer peculiar to the northeast, it has now extended to the northwest. And this is coming six years after almost 300 girls were kidnapped from Chibok.
This is no longer a problem for the north. If the issue of Boko Haram is not curbed, I’m afraid the whole of Nigeria will be unsafe.
So the real question now is… How do we get rid of Boko Haram in Nigeria?
