So, it turns out the the catholic church cannot bless same-sex unions. Well, it is quite interesting to know that this decision is not due to personal sentiments or a conflict in moral standards nor any form of discriminations, but because ‘God cannot bless sin’ which is derived from their holy book, ‘the bible’ which stipulates that ‘Gayism/sodomy’ is a sin. This was the reason that was given by the Pope Francis was interviewed about the recent joining of same sex people in the catholic church in countries like the United States and Germany. He however suggested that same sex unions can be joined as civil unions.
Does this mean that the Church (catholic church) will never evolve to blessing gay couples?
