The capital of Borno State, Maiduguri has just recorded about three suspected bomb explosions on the eve of the sallah celebration.
Investigations are still in motion to determine what is responsible for the explosion.
However, the explosion left one person dead and about 16 other people injured. The injured persons are currently receiving treatment from a specialist hospital.
Well, this not the first time Maiduguri has been a centre for bomb explosions. It has been a major concern for the state capital ever since the rise of the Boko Haram Insurgents which has caused tens of thousands of death and millions displaced, but it is sad to conclude that the government haven’t found a way to put a stop to this.
It is good to know that the Explosive Ordinance Detection is on this case, but shouldn’t their job be to find the bombs or the possible cause for an explosion before it goes off?
What exactly is the government doing about bomb explosions in the country?
I think everyone in Nigeria should be educated on how to identify a suicide bomber and take precautions by alerting the appropriate authorities before there’s a casualty, what do you think about this?
