It is no longer news that the APC National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomole, has been suspended as the National Chairman of the party (all the media outlets carried the story); What is interesting and begging for answers are:
Who will step in as acting Chairman, Senator Abiola Ajimobi or Chief Victor Giadom? These are the two people reportedly struggling for the coveted position. Senator Abiola Ajimobi is the party’s Deputy National Chairman (South), while Chief Victor Giadom is the the incumbent Deputy National Secretary.
How will this affect the APC primaries (and election) in Edo state? Will Governor Obaseki and all the other members of the party that resigned their membership recently return to the party, and would that be wise? Will there be another screening exercise for the governorship contestants? Will Obaseki be screened in, and hence become eligible to contest the APC primaries?
Does this suspension affect the influence of Oshiomole in any way?
How long is the suspension for? What are Oshiomole’s chances of regaining the position?
These are questions begging for answers. Throw in your 10 cents.
