More Cases of Insecurity in Kaduna as Gunmen Abduct Exit Class Students

Gunmen who are suspected to be Fulani Herdsmen, on Monday, burnt down a church and abducted JSS3 students from a school in Chikun Local Government, Kaduna State where they were receiving lessons in preparation for their upcoming examination.

Some of the witnesses to the incident recalled that some villagers were also abducted and in the process of the raid, of the students was killed.

Soldiers were called to the rescue but after pursuing the bandits for some kilometers, they turned back leaving the victims to their fate in the hands of their kidnappers.

This case reminds us of the chibok girls and who were also kidnapped while in school and had to be subjected to abuse, molestation and forceful conversion of religion before they could be rescued after years had passed by.

No child or student should have to experience what these kidnap victims from Chikun LGA must be going through right now as their whereabouts are still unknown to the government and security operators.

It is quite disheartening that while trying to receive an education in Kaduna, those students had to be a victim of the insecurity that has held Kaduna a hostage.

How soon do you think these students can be rescued?

Do you think this will gain the attention of their Governor, El-Rufia to take an action against the perpetrators of this act?
