There have been reports of an Helicopter crash at a residential building in Ikeja, Lagos. The pilot tried to crash land in an open space, but ended up crashing into a compound in Opebi, ikeja.
Although, Emergency workers were able to arrive at the scene in time, two persons which includes the pilot and a passenger out of the three persons that were onboard were confirmed dead at the scene, while the third person died in the intensive care unit of the Lagos Teaching Hospital.
No one was hurt out of the occupants of the building the copter crashed into.
The reason for the crash is still unknown as Nigerians are claiming that the crash occurred due to bad maintenance as aircrafts haven’t been used in a while due to the travelling restrictions as a prevention of the covid-19.
An investigation has been launched to find the real cause of the crash while top Government Officials sends their condolences to the families of the victims of the crash.
