Former South African President Jacob Zuma Sentenced to 15 Months in Jail for Contempt of Court

The former President of South Africa, Jacob Zuma has been sentenced to 15 months in jail after being found in contempt of court.

This is due to Zuma’s refusal to appear at an anti-corruption commission to answer questions about his alleged involvement in corruption during his time as president.

His refusal to also provide evidence and submit this at the zondo commission as stated by the Acting Chief Justice, Sisi Khampepe also awarded the former president the “Contempt of Court” charge as filed against him.

This is indeed a case of “no one is above the law” or what do you think?

Do you think that Zuma will still submit to the judgement of the court or will become a flight risk?

How do you think this case will turn out if this happened in Nigeria? Is this even possible in Nigeria?
