Find Out What Happened During the Edo State Election

The Edo State Election was held on Saturday, 19th of September with PDP’s Obaseki and APC’s Ize-Iyamu as the highlights of the election out of 14 candidates running for the Edo State Governorship.

There were several reports of violence as an INEC official in Orhionmwon Local Government.

Also, security was tight in most polling units, but this didn’t stop the large number of votes sales during the election despite several warnings from INEC against this.

During the election, not all covid-19 precautions were adhered to although everyone had their face masks on since it was made compulsory but there was no social distancing amongst the people who were there to vote.

Well, despite all these, compilation of votes for all local governments except for 2 local governments were announced and governor Godwin Obaseki of the PDP so far has 288,572 votes while Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the APC has 202,525 votes.
