The Federal Government has recently declared that International Flights will resume on the 29th of August, 2020.
Well, this didn’t seem to go down well with the Publisher of Sahara Reporters and former Presidential Candidate, Omoyele Sowore, as he said that the major reason behind the resumption of international flights is so that the children of the Nigerian Leaders can resume back to their schools abroad.
He went further to attest that Nigerian Leaders do not care about the people and that September is the resumption month for most schools abroad and that is the reason why international flights will resume by the ending of August.
This makes so much sense because when international flights are eventually resumed in the ending of August, their children can to make it abroad as most of their schools will resume in September.
Inasmuch as the reason Sowore gave could actually be a reason, I do not think that was the only reason Government considered. The COVID-19 pandemic is not over, but most countries somehow have some form of handle on it. Besides, other countries have since re-opened their borders. Do you think Sowore’s presumption is right?
Should we expect our COVID-19 cases to increase with this act? Are we prepared should we get a spike in number of COVID-19 cases, especially now that some isolation centers have been closed?
