Convicted Looters Declined from Nigerian Prisons

Suspected looters from the looting spree that took place in lagos in the past one week have been arraigned and convicted in court after which they are to be taken to prison to serve their sentence, but they were rejected.

At first, one would think that the rejection was due to the overfilled prison cells or the sub standard facilities that will prevent them from taking in more inmates, but it turns out that the Nigeria Correctional Service will only take in new inmates after they have been tested for the covid-19 to which if found positive, you’ll be taken to a health facility, while others who test negative will be remanded in prison.
