Capital City Of Lebanon Destroyed In Massive Explosion

On August 4 2020, the city of Beirut the capital of Lebanon was subject to a massive explosion that rocked the entire city.

The explosion took place around the port of the city. It was said that the explosion was caused by firecracker that went off beside a highly explosive sodium nitrate that was impounded from ships and kept in a warehouse beside the city’s port.

This highly explosive sodium nitrate was ignited by the fire crackers and this caused the massive explosion.

The explosion has left hundreds dead and many more injured. The hospitals are now overwhelmed with injured patients as many sustained injuries from the explosion.

The explosion has also sparked a nationwide concern for the safety of occupants of the city and the city’s economic welfare which might go down the drain since a lot of of its economic resources were razed down by the explosion.
