One cannot be exactly sure of what is going on between these two affiliated groups but, there are now reports that members of the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) are still on with the assault against members of the Boko Haram.
It is also no news that Shekau, leader of the Boko Haram terrorists, died last week in Sambisa forest after he blew himself during an attempt for ISWAP to capture him.
The ongoing dispute and battle for supremacy between these ISWAP and boko haram have also resulted in deaths and capture of several boko haram members who have refused surrender to the ISWAP fraction.
ISWAP has then vowed to eliminate all terrorists belonging to the Shekau group, if they fail to bow.
So, why the sudden need for ISWAP’s supremacy over Boko Haram that they don’t mind eliminating terrorists like themselves who are fighting for the same course?
